Messy Church – can you help out?

News on 10 Sep , 2018

Our first Messy Church of the term is coming up on Sunday 28th October from 3.30-5pm.

For those of you who don’t know, Messy Church is our event for families where we learn about some aspect of God, faith or the Bible together. We use activities, games and crafts to let all ages get involved, and we always finish with a meal together. If you know any families then please do invite them along (and maybe offer to chum them if that will help!)

We will need some help to be able to run the event. In particular there are three kinds of roles that we need help with:

Practical Jobs: We need help with setting up, registration and clear up at the end
Catering: We need a few folks in the kitchen to cook so that we can sit down and enjoy a meal at the end
Befriending: We need people who can welcome the families, help them with the crafts and get to know them over dinner

If you could help with any one of these jobs, or a mix of them, that would be really appreciated. It doesn’t have to be for the full 90 mins: if you can make it just for the registration at the beginning, or clear up at the end would still be a big help!

I’ll not be around at church for the next couple of Sundays, so if you would like to help please send me an email at david@granton.org.uk or a wee ring on 07856630956.

Hope to see you there!

David
