24th Mar Habakkuk 3:1-19

Lent thought for the day

As very young children we learn to ask questions about how and when and why the world is as it is. Not all questions though have answers that are clear. These unanswered problems often involving suffering and create more questions and sometimes nagging doubts. Habukkuk was a man who sought answers from God for the way the world was. Throughout the book of Habukkuk God answers and reassures him with a focus on the future.

It may seem as though the wicked triumph but there will be judgment, and goodness as Gods righteousness will prevail.

Habukkuk comes to a greater understanding of Gods power love and intention by asking questions of God.

Perhaps we could come to a greater understanding of God by doing likewise?

Today’s thought-for-the-day is from Emma
