Ezra echo’s the thought of the Psalmist in Psalm 130:3. They both knew that God is righteous, they both knew that as humans we often go our own way rather than God’s way and that can have consequences for individuals and communities. But they also recognised God’s great mercy.
In Jesus we see Gods great mercy, a God who chooses to engage with us rather than turn his back, we see a forgiving God, a God who has done for us that which we couldn’t do for ourselves.
Today why not take a moment to consider Gods great mercy in Jesus and what that means for how we each should live.
