Messages from your friends at Granton Parish Church on completion of your Probationary period with us.
Anne Macintosh
When the Primary 7’s leave for High School they are often unsure of what the future may hold. We always included this prayer in their Leavers Book.
Wishing you all the best for whatever your future has in store for you.
Prayer of Saint Francis De Sales
Do not look forward to the changes and chances
of this life in fear; rather, look to them
with full hope that, as they arise,
God, whose you are, will deliver you out of them.
He has kept you until now – do you but hold fast
to His dear hand and He will lead you
safely through all things; and when you cannot stand,
He will bear you in His arms.
Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow;
the same everlasting Father who cares for you today
will take care of you tomorrow and every day.
Either He will shield you from suffering
or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace, then, and put aside
all anxious thoughts and imaginations.

Hi Alasdair- thanks for being my buddy for the last 15 months- it has gone so quickly! If you need anyone to laugh at you or to actually give you some support- you have my number, and there’s always a bed for you at ours if you need to escape Glasgow- unless it’s in a years’ time and by some twist of fate, we’re also in Glasgow. But it would be a different parish at the very least! Love Kirsty and Dan.

Hey Alasdair, it’s hard to believe that 15 months have passed since you joined us here at Granton and already you are leaving! It feels like you have been with us and part of the Granton family for forever and we are selfishly very sorry to see you leave us. However, the time has come for you now to spread your wings, and go where God sees fit to lead you. Granton’s loss is someone else’s gain (hopefully Glasgow Cathcart!)
With every blessing and our love
Ian & Elsie Moir
Thank you for all you have contributed during your time at Granton. Every blessing for your ministry at Cathcart!

All the best for the future and remember ‘The secret of a good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending; and to have the two as close together as possible.’ — George Burns.
Love Ruth.
