They’re on their way to COP!!

The Young Christian Climate Network are on their way! Will you help amplify their calls for climate justice? The day after the G7 a group of 80 young Christians who are passionate about climate justice set off from Cornwall. They are making their way to the UN climate conference, COP26, happening in Glasgow in November. As they journey across the UK, they are calling for climate justice. They need your help to make sure world leaders take action. Here's how you can get involved: Pledge your prayer We know there is power in prayer. Join us in praying for the young pilgrims, for those impacted by the crisis and for decision makers to heed our calls for climate justice. We will count up all the prayers and actions taken in support of this pilgrimage and deliver them to decision makers at COP26 in Glasgow. Pledge your prayer ► Send a prayer boat to COP26 Connect to the relay by creating a prayer boat. We are building a fleet of prayer boats that will set sail for climate justice and cannot be ignored by world leaders. Find out more and download resources here. Create prayer boats ► Join us to find out more about this campaign! Register your place at our online event where you can hear direct from the walkers about how you and your church can get involved over the coming months ...

“God”

Thanks to Ian Moir for this very interesting, and sometimes amusing, piece. GOD This is really interesting… Enjoy When GOD solves our problems, we have faith in HIS abilities. When GOD doesn't solve our problems, HE has faith in our abilities. One may observe God's accuracy in the hatching of eggs… those of the Canary in 14 days; those of the Barnyard Hen in 21 days; Eggs of Ducks and Geese in 28 days; those of the Mallard in 35 days; Eggs of the Parrot and the Ostrich hatch in 42 days.. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!) See God's Wisdom in the making of an Elephant… The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body… too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily. The Horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A Cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. How wise the Lord is in all His works of Creation! Each Watermelon has an even number of stripes on the Rind. Each Orange has an even number of segments. Each ear of Corn has an even number of rows. Each stalk of Wheat has an even number of grains. Every bunch of Bananas has on its lowest row an even number of Bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number. There's more… The Waves of the Sea roll in on shore Twenty-six to the Minute in all kinds of weather. All Grains ...

Thought for The Day – The Complete Gospel of Matthew

Hi Everyone, A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to thought for the day. I have really valued all the different voices we were able to hear. I've collated together all the the reflections into one document. It's a bit of a monster (just shy of 300 pages!) but I've added a table of contents and some links to help navigate it. Please feel free to use them as a reading guide for Matthew, or dip into them whenever you are in need of some insight. Once again, thank you all for the hard work you've put in over the past year. Many blessings, David http://www.grantonchurch.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Thought-for-the-Day-Complete-version.pdf ...

The Church of Scotland is covering costs, so there is no additional cost to us here at Granton. Pop in and introduce yourself! ...
