After Easter (starting on 28th April), we are going to experiment with relocating the band and singers into the seated area of the church. This will mean taking away the outside part of some of the rows of chairs on the pulpit side to allow space for instruments etc.
Our thinking behind this move is partly prompted by the services that were held in the West Hall, where having instruments in close proximity to the congregation really boosted the singing. It will also minimise movement of musicians and speed up the start of hymns.
Please bear with us while we give this a try – and, once you’ve got used to it, do let us know what you think.
