Christmas Services moved online

christmas online

We are sorry to have to inform you that due to the current pandemic and the impending move to Tier 4 the Kirk Session of Granton Parish Church have decided all our Christmas services this year should be online only.

This was not an easy decision for us to take because we cherish the chance to join with others to celebrate Christmas. Yet weighing the desire to worship in person against guaranteeing the safety of those who attend against Covid left us with no choice. You are part of our community and we will do anything we can to make sure you are safe; even if that means changing many years of tradition. We hope you understand and that you are able to join with us online.

Rather than offering 2 Christingle services we are now offering only one at 6.30. We had Christingle packs for everyone made up and if you want, you can collect a pack from the church building between 1 and 2 pm, Christmas Eve.

If you can’t and you still want to make your own Christingle please have 1 orange, 1 strip of red tape to go round the middle, 4 cocktail sticks and 8 small squishy sweeties at hand. We will then build the Christingle together as we go through the service.

Christmas day will still be at 10.30 but will be entirely online now. Feel free to join in your jammies since you will be at home!

Here are the Zoom Links for both services:
