The church halls will be out of use during the day for maintenance work week beginning Monday 6th August 2018.
As most will know the Kirk Session has a development project underway at the moment which will see gradual improvement of the church premises over a number of years. This is known as the Blue Skies Project.
The first visible changes will be to the lighting throughout the building – all existing lighting will be replaced with energy-efficient lighting. The Kirk Session was keen to have as much work as possible done during the holiday season, before the schools and organisations return after the summer break.
The lighting will be replaced week beginning Monday 6th August. We don’t yet know how much disruption there will be, nor how many days the work will last for, but it would be safest to assume that the halls and kitchen will not be available during the day that week.
This affects the following groups:
Monday:
no groups due to meet
Tuesday:
Banner Group – should be able to find some location withing the church buildings for their small group meeting
Mature Movers – West hall not available
Community Gardeners – Kitchen and West Hall not available
Helana Dancers – East Hall not available
Wednesday:
Lunch Club – Kitchen and West Hall not available
Thursday:
Kirstie’s Coffee – West Hall and kitchen MAY not be available
Evening groups should be able to meet as usual but there may be some disruption.
