Day 13 Dec 15 Luke 1: 23-25 Redemption in a different way

Life was not easy for Elizabeth. She lived in a culture where having children was seen as God blessing you and not having children meant you were under God’s judgement. She would have had to live with the community gossiping about her and wondering what she had done to be judged by God. This birth then was more than just the advent of a son. It also allowed Elizabeth to walk amongst her peers without judgement. Even though she considered herself too old God did not and this begs the question of how old do you need to be before you are worthless before God?

You already know the answer to that question!
