Starting off in one of my first jobs I was given a piece of advice of what to do when unsure of something, that has stuck with me. I was told “you may feel a fool for asking but if you don’t ask you’ll always be a fool”.
A bit of a harsh comment perhaps but the premise is worth considering when it comes to faith.
It seems that Mary had no doubt God could do exactly what the angel suggested but she questions to better understand.
Questioning is not the same as doubting as it allows us the opportunity to better understand God, His ways His purpose and His will and ambition for our lives.
So what is the most pressing question that you have for God today? Do you have the courage like Mary to ask it?
