Eco-Challenge #2 – “Make meat a treat”

We’re doing a new Eco Challenge each fortnight during Lent.

The first one was a challenge to save water and energy by only filling the kettle with the water that you need.

This fortnight’s challenge is to”go meat free for 3 days a week”.

Roughly 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions are caused by livestock farming. 1 Beef steak emits more C02 than driving for 1 hour and leaving all the lights on at home.

Not only is reducing your meat intake be better for the climate, it is better for animal welfare, deforestation and your health.
