Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) 2020 will mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
In commemoration of this landmark anniversary, Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) is launching an exciting new project for organisations and community groups around the country to take part in.
We have registered as a group to create our own Memorial Flame which marks 75 years since the end of the Holocaust, and our flame will be to respond directly to one person’s experiences, be a broader commemoration of the Holocaust, or reflect on the theme for HMD 2020: Stand Together.
The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust will select 75 artworks from around the country to be displayed at the UK Ceremony for HMD 2020 – creating a unique national exhibition for this important anniversary.
Other artworks will be displayed as part of local HMD commemorations, and photographs submitted to their website will be displayed on our online gallery.
Want to be part of it?
If you are interested in taking part in this project and would like to be part of the Granton group creating a flame, please speak to any of the following people who are involved: Anna, Karen, Sandra (Summers) or Stuart.
