Fairtrade Place of Worship
We are a Fairtrade Church – this means that we have formally committed to using and promoting ethically sourced products to support trade justice and fight global poverty.
We see this as a practical expression of our Christian discipleship, linking daily consumption habits with biblical mandates for justice and care for the marginalised.
What this means in practice
To achieve and maintain our official Fairtrade status, we as a church must serve Fairtrade tea, coffee, and sugar after services and during all official meetings.
Buying Fairtrade ensures farmers and workers in developing countries receive fairer prices for what they produce.
