Email to Groups and Organisations using the halls

The church management team met yesterday to agree a course of action on the safe use of the church buildings during the current situation. The  decision yesterday was that we would do all that we can to keep the buildings available and open for use, with greater attention paid to cleanliness and hygiene.

If you are a church group you will have seen Norman’s letter to everyone today on the church website – you can view it here.

However, the situation is changing rapidly and the UK Government advice is now to reduce all unnecessary social contact – this clearly changes things.

Our policy is to keep the building open but to recommend that unless you deem it essential groups do not meet – at least until matters become clearer – we haven’t yet had specific advice from the Church governing body or from the Scottish Government. Many groups will receive specific advice from your umbrella organisations.

Please consider whether your group will stop meeting – then, it would be imperative to let us know ( – then we can put any cancellation information on the church website and Linda, as Hall Convener, can manage the diary.

In these uncertain times, we want you to know that the church is here to support our community and friends – for up-to-date information please check our Facebook page and website.
