As our ecological crisis persists, this truth becomes ever more important.

We have created prayer prompts in the trees, provided a sunny bench to rest on and planted a small orchard.

Granton Blooms

Our congregation wishes to be a good custodian of this land, tending it well and sharing it with our community.

We work with local families to grow local flowers and vegetables.

Cut Carbon Footprint

We aim to use our flowers in Church displays, reducing our dependence on imported blooms and their hefty carbon footprint.

Monthly Workshops

Monthly workshops teach growing skills, build confidence and foster friendship.

Generate Funds

When harvest permits, we will sell our local, organically grown bouquets to generate more funds for the project and its participants.

Drop-in sessions

During the growing season, we also offer weekly drop-in gardening sessions on a Thursday morning

Why grow and buy local flowers?

86% of flowers bought in UK are imported

An imported bouquet has 10x greater carbon emissions that a British grown bouquet

They are typically soaked in chemicals to preserve them ( that's why they have no scent)

our Granton grown flowers are grown in ways to build soil and support local wildlife

How can you get involved?

Come alone

Come along to our drop -in gardening sessions every Thursday 11am - 12.30pm. Learn growing skills and share in our harvests

Look for our logo

look for our logo and flowers in local shops and markets this Summer when purchasing flowers or contact us directly and make an order !
