Here at Granton we recognise the importance of worshipping together as a family has.

Looking through the bible, ‘family’ is one of the main ways in which the church is described. This means there is a place for everyone to be part of the wider church family. Whether you are the youngest, the oldest, or somewhere in between you have a place with us. It is important to us that we start our worship together as the whole family of God with all ages present.

We recognise though that not everyone in a family does the same thing at the same time in the same way, this is why we have different groups available during our services. Crèche (Pre-School) and Kirk4Kids (School Age) run from the second song, the one after the kids talk, through to the end of the service.

If you wish to use crèche please take your child through to the crèche room at this point. It is through the door to the left of the pulpit, then immediately on your left. If you are unsure where this is, any of the Welcome Team will be happy to point you in the right direction.

If you feel that your child is unsettled in the main service before the second song, you are most welcome to take them through to the crèche room and comfort them yourself until the crèche volunteers come through after the second hymn. Children may then be collected from this room at the service’s end.

Kirk4Kids meets in the East Hall and you are encouraged to take any children through before coming back into the service. Again they may be collected from the East Hall at service’s end.

There is also the Patch Group which offers an alternative style of worship based around craft/story/activities and meets in the West Hall. Please feel free to go along and see what this group do if you are interested.

Through these various groups we hope everyone finds a way of worshipping God that is appropriate to their age and situation.
