June update on the Presbytery Plan

Latest news on the unions set out in the Presbytery Plan, and what it means for Granton Parish Church

There have been some interesting developments in our involvement in the Presbytery Plan.

Last week our Kirk Session had a meeting with representatives of the Deployment Committee, who are responsible for implementing the Plan.

Stockbridge Parish Church has now left our grouping, being allowed to seek union with Broughton St Mary’s. As things stand, that leaves us to continue the process of either exploring union with Inverleith St Serf’s or Wardie Parish Churches, whichever will be in the best interests of Granton.

Kirk Session are also considering whether there may be alternative options and we will keep you informed.

Our Kirk Session will continue bring you updates regularly throughout the year so that everyone knows what’s happening. Exciting and positive times lie ahead as the church grows stronger than ever as we continue to “Think Bigger”.

If at any time you have any questions or concerns, please speak to Dan Docwra, our Session Clerk, or any of the Elders.
