March update on the Presbytery Plan

Latest news on the unions set out in the Presbytery Plan, and what it means for Granton Parish Church

UPDATE ON “THE PLAN”
On 5th March, Dan and Chas attended a meeting with the Presbytery Plan Deployment Committee. Also attending were representatives of Inverleith St Serf’s, Stockbridge and Wardie Parish Churches.

We were presented with a number of scenarios regarding the potential unions of parishes, with some new possibilities. These will be discussed at the forthcoming Kirk Session on Tuesday 26th March. Following that, we hope to be able to inform the Deployment Committee of the outcomes of our deliberations.

Thank you to all who have completed the Congregational Questionnaire. This and union will be fully discussed at the Away Day at Davidson’s Mains Parish Church on Saturday 27th April.

Our Kirk Session will continue bring you updates regularly throughout the year so that everyone knows what’s happening. Exciting and positive times lie ahead as the church grows stronger than ever as we continue to “Think Bigger”.

If at any time you have any questions or concerns, please speak to Dan Docwra, our Session Clerk, or any of the Elders.
