THIS WEEK'S TAKEAWAY

For hundreds of years ordinary people could not read. How then did they learn the faith?

Primarily through the read word, picture and song. Look around medieval churches and they all have stained glass windows depicting biblical scenes.

Back in the day they also had choirs that helped people learn through song what Christianity was all about and people trained to read aloud Gods’ Word.

We embrace that tradition today through singing carols and listening to the scriptures being read to us.
