The Osiligi Maasai Warriors are a seven-piece group from southern Kenya who perform authentic and exciting tribal song and dance as well as their famed Maasai jumping.
They have performed at schools, churches and theatres throughout the UK with great success over a number of years and will visit The Maltings Theatre for the first time on 13 September. The show is both entertaining and educational and includes audience participation plus a question and answer session on the lives of the Maasai.
In recent years, the group has also worked in conjunction with a small charity – Osiligi Charity Projects – and this has led to the transformation of their local community with new water stations, a new church/community centre and – most impressively – a new, state-of-the-art primary school and medical centre. The show includes Powerpoint and dvd presentations on this theme.
They will be appearing at Palmerston Place Church on Wednesday 9th September at 7pm. Full details of tour dates are available here.
