Proposed Dementia cafe – consultation

North West Edinburgh consultation on Proposed Dementia Cafe

“There are only four kinds of people in  the world, those who have been carers, those who currently are carers, those who will be carers and those who will need carers”

Roslyn Carter former First Lady of America

– do you know or care for someone who has memory problems?

– are you aware of what resources and supports are in your community to help you in this role?

West Pilton Gardens Social Work Centre is looking to open a new Dementia Cafe for local residents. This will be a Service User/Carer led resource to support families, friends and loved ones affected by Dementia.  They are holding 2 meetings where they want to hear what you want from the Cafe.

They would like people with dementia and their families, carers, ex-carers, friends and neighbours to come along and participate in the consultation.

This is an opportunity for local voices to be hears and to be part of an exciting new project in our community. If you would like to know more please spread the word and come to…..
