Share ‘n’ Wear on the road with Granton Goes Greener

Our Share ‘n’ Wear shop is on the road! On Saturday 12th October we’ll be setting up at the Communities for Conservation event at the Drill Hall (Out of the Blue).

Anna, our Community Engagement Officer, says “All these swaps run by Communities for Conservation are very busy and attract people from all over Edinburgh, lots of students, refugees and people interested in environmental aspects of recycling, so we thought it would be nice to join them and promote both Granton Goes Greener and the church.

Anna is looking for volunteers to cover roles such as;

volunteer drivers
We have access to Out of the Blue from 11:00-11:30 so one driver would have to be available to do the drop-off around 11.

The event is scheduled to finish around 4:30 so would say a second driver to pick some clothes up and take them to the church – should be free and at Out of the Blue the latest by 4:30.

volunteer helpers
We need some people from the church to help during the event. Restocking the rails, talking to people, helping with donations. We hope to be able to get few volunteers from the swap shop, but it would be great to have few from the church as well.
