Message: The best laid plans…

This week's takeaway from church

Edinburgh is infamous for it’s fickle weather. Wear shorts and it’s bound to rain, bring a brolly and there will be gale force winds. You can try to plan for it, but as the old saying goes, ‘no plan survives first contact with the enemy’.

Season of life can be equally hard to predict. We can make plans and preparations, only for fate to throw us a curveball. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. It can be hard when things do go as we had pictured. But our faith is with us through the ups and downs. We can’t know exactly what the future holds, but we know God will be with us each step of the way, leading us onwards to new destinations.
