Thought for The Day – Tuesday 30th March

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.

Matthew 23: 27

Not having anyone to love may seem one of the most difficult things to endure yet there is something worse. Loving someone and having them reject you. Consider for a moment how many times God sent a prophet to Israel and they rejected him. Then when he sent his Son they rejected him too. What did God have to do for these people to realise they were loved? What does God have to do for you before you realise how much he truly loved you?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I can’t believe I can call God Father, you are so much more, so much greater and yet you love me. That is just mindblowing.

Action: Awe! Stand in awe of God!
