This week’s Granton Goes Greener update

Freshers Fair

Norman and David staffed a stall at the Freshers’ Fair at the Granton Campus of Edinburgh College representing both the church and Granton Goes Greener. They had some interesting conversations with staff and students of the college and half the clothing on the swap rail was taken! Hopefully we’ll see students and staff from the college getting involved in Granton Goes Greener in the future! The college has its own Climate Challenge Funded sustainable transport project, which offers a great link with our cycle project.

Cycle Rides

Do you want to get to know the local quiet routes for cyclists? Do you want to improve your skills and confidence as a cyclist?
Why not join one of our guided cycle rides?
Our next cycle ride will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 23 September, leaving the church at 1pm and travelling to Cramond. We hope that Grease Monkeys will be able to offer a bike maintenance session in the church grounds between 11.30am and 1pm. Keep an eye out here and on social media for updates!

Goodbye from Juliet

My last day in post will be Wednesday 12 September. I have enjoyed meeting you and working with you but it’s time to move on! Wishing the new Climate Change Officer all the best for the continuation of the project.
