Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 12th April – Easter Sunday

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! (Luke 24:1-6)

In the midst of chaos there is certainty, in the midst of tragedy there is hope. No matter what the world might throw at Christians these things remain true because today reminds us that we serve a risen Lord. Jesus Christ is not in the grave because, He is Risen!

Whatever you might face today, the power of Jesus will give you the strength to endure because our God is greater.

Prayer: Father when the world is tough and life is hard help be to believe. When the things I should do are not the things I do and the things I shouldn’t do I end up doing help be to believe. When I struggle to put one foot in front of another let alone see into the distant future, help me to believe.

Action: Remember your God is a risen God! Approach today knowing Jesus is alive and Jesus has triumphed over even the grave.
