Jesus warned that many people would claim to be the returned Messiah and boy was he right! Google ‘List of Messiah Claimants’ and prepare to be amazed at the sheer number of people. From Simon Magus in the first century through to David Shayler from the UK in 2007 there has been no shortage.

Each one has tried to gather around them followers and to emulate Jesus yet have failed to do so. Why? Because there is only one Messiah and his name is Jesus of Nazareth or as he is otherwise known, Jesus Christ. It is the life of Jesus that sets him apart, the fact he died and rose again on the 3rd day. Not one of those others have actually done what they claimed and came back to life after death. Effectively their own life (and death) have proved the lies of their claims.
