Thought for the Day

Where do you find space for God in your daily routine?

Add your email address below.

We'll send a Thought for the Day every morning and a summary of news and information from church every Thursday

Where does God speak into your life?

In today’s 24/7 world finding space and time for God can be difficult.

We may not be meeting for Sunday Services but that doesn’t mean that Church is going to stop. It just means we’ll need to be creative about how we learn, worship and pray together as a Church.

Thoughts for the Day will now be longer and include both a prayer and an action for you to do at home. These are to help us to connect with God and grow in our faith. Please read along with us and if you have any thoughts or questions of your own do share then with the Ministry Team or post them to the Facebook group.

Think about what it means for you in your situation and pray about it.

Then go live your life to the fullest.

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 4th April

You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” (Lam 3:57) What are you anxious about today? Let God say to you “do not fear”. These are three words we would all love to hear right now. Whether they are being shouted from a rooftop or said to you as you […]

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel (Php 1:27) This crisis is one […]

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 2nd April

I thank my God every time I remember you. (Php 1:3) What a powerful and caring practice this is. Could you imagine the difference it would make if every time we thought about someone, we gave thanks to God for them? It can so easy to take people for granted, but in times like we […]

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 1st April

They will be my people, and I will be their God… I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul. (Jer 32:38,41) Relationships are full of lots of milestones: first kiss, first Christmas together first fight over the dishes. But the most important […]

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Eph 2:10) What Good Works can you do today? Our passage today reminds us what our calling in this world is, to do the good works God has prepared for us to do. […]

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 30th March

Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms […]

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 29th March

He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet bound with strips of cloth, and his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” (John 11:44) Even death has no power over God’s love. What a powerful story to […]

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 28th March

“Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord… you, mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. I am concerned for you and will look on you with favour (Eze 36:1,8-9) This is […]

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 27th March

Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. (Psa 130:7) To say we are in uncertain times would be an understatement wouldn’t it! The official advice is constantly changing, every day new challenges are arising. It can feel as though we are on […]

Lent Thought for the day – #TFTD – 26th March

[God] said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.” So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. (Eze 3:3) Over the next while we are all of us going to be spending a lot more time indoors. That […]

“Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized” (Acts 9:18) Learning the truth can be like learning to see anew. It changes our whole perspective. #TFTD

Laban said to Jacob, “You shouldn’t work for me for nothing just because you are my relative. How much pay do you want?” (Gen 29:15) Laban had ulterior motives. Have you thought about why you are doing what you are today? #TFTD
