Three Tips for reading the Bible

1.Choose a good place to start
Some books of the Bible are easier to read than others. Good places to start are the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), Psalms, or shorter books like Ruth.

2. Find a translation that works for you
There are many different translations some more literal (NRSV/KJV) and other more accessible (GNT/NLT). If you have more than one to hand, try comparing what the different translations say.

3. Ask Questions
The Bible is a large and complex text, don’t worry if you don’t understand something first time. Make a note and then either look it up online or speak to someone you know.
