People often complain that 20% of the people in any congregation do 80% of the work. Is that fair? Whilst we love people who are practical and who do, we also need people who can think. God has called both doers and thinkers to be part of His family.
If you are a doer remember to pray for the thinkers. They help us to take stock, to reflect on where we are going and to pause before jumping in with both feet. If you are a thinker pray for the doers who help keep the church running and who roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
God of past, present and future, we seek direction
for the life of our Church and for ourselves,
and remember that all concerns and anxieties
should be placed within Your hand.
Where we have heard Your voice
may we step into the future that appears
with all the uncertainties and unknowns
to be explored.
Keep our eyes open to places of need,
and our ears open to the call
to new ways of being Your people.
