scottish parliament

Wednesday 10 June 2020, 8:00am-8:45am

From Jeremy Balfour MSP, Lothian, Murdo Fraser MSP, Mid Scotland and Fife, Maurice Golden MSP, West Scotland, Gordon Lindhurst MSP, Lothian, John Mason MSP, Glasgow Shettleston

We are collectively writing to invite you to join us at a special online event on Wednesday 10 June 2020, from 0800-0845am. This breakfast session will focus on prayer for Scotland and other nations at this critical time.

The event is being coordinated by several organisations including the National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland, Pray for Scotland, Scotland United in Prayer for Parliament and Parliamentary Prayer Scotland. We are also pleased to say that the event is being supported by Cinnamon Network and Evangelical Alliance.

Just as God’s people gathered to David at Hebron (1 Chronicles 12:23), we too want to gather together to use this time to call on God in prayer, build our faith as we read from the Bible, hear encouragements and seek God’s prophetic voice.

One of the groups of people who gathered at Hebron were the Sons of Issachar (1 Chronicles 12:32), and just like them, as believers we want to understand the times and know what to do. The sense of unity demonstrated by this prayer event will be a spiritual key at this time in all that we face with the Coronavirus, and so we would encourage as many of you as possible to join us.

You will be able to access the prayer time free of charge by using this link:

So please put the date in your diary now and plan to be with us.

Yours faithfully,

Jeremy Balfour MSP, Lothian
Murdo Fraser MSP, Mid Scotland and Fife
Maurice Golden MSP, West Scotland
Gordon Lindhurst MSP, Lothian
John Mason MSP, Glasgow Shettleston
